Diana has over 25 years of human resources experience, directing the HR function of various organizations in the manufacturing, marketing and service sectors. In 2004, Diana started The Quinn Co., an HR consulting business, helping small to mid-sized companies develop and execute HR strategies. Services include developing an HR strategy and function, perhaps where none existed; managing the staffing and selection processes; providing customized training and development; developing performance management and compensation systems; providing guidance on all employee relations matters; developing policy; and leading culture change efforts. In her corporate stints, Diana was VP of HR for the Ice Group of Enodis plc, a $2B durable goods manufacturing entity. There she had dual responsibility for worldwide executive and total compensation and generalist responsibilities for managing and improving the full range of HR systems and processes for the Enodis Ice Group. After that, Diana was Director of HR for Terlato Wine Group, in Lake Bluff, where she led the HR function with full responsibility for strategic and tactical execution. She implemented the Company’s first performance management and compensation systems, and all supportive training and communications materials. She recruited and staffed for key leadership positions. She overhauled the Company’s 401K plan, which involved a vendor change, and implemented significant plan design changes. As plant HR Manager and Corporate Mgr of Training and Staffing at American National Can Company, Diana was instrumental in the launch of Employee Participation Teams across over thirty plant locations, instituted internal outplacement efforts following multiple plant closings and led Total Quality Management and other key training initiatives. She also developed the company’s first competency model for plant leaders and implemented a corporate–wide supervisory development program. In all her professional experience, Diana has led change efforts, implemented performance management and succession planning systems, structured compensation programs, developed competency models, developed policies and programs to affect cultural change, and initiated team effectiveness projects. Diana holds a BA in Human Resource Management from the University of Illinois, Champaign, Illinois and a Masters of Management from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University. She is a member of the Society of HR Management. Diana is certified in numerous training and developmental programs, including Extended DISC, “train the trainer” in DDI’s Max program and Learning International’s Supervisory Development Program. She is also a former instructor with the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. Diana’s not-for-profit experience includes serving as a founding member of ConnectVETS.Org, an organization dedicated to connecting the men and women who have served our country with private sector employment opportunities. Diana is a member of the Lake County ATHENAPowerLink® 2009 Advisory Panel and is a past board member of the GLMV Chamber of Commerce.
